Get Claude on Your Computer and Your Phone

About 10 min

Helps you: Reach the same Claude, with the same memory of you, whether you're at your desk or in a queue at the post office

  1. On your phone, open the app store and search for Claude. Install the one made by Anthropic (that's the company behind it) and sign in with the same email you use on the website.
  2. On your computer, go to the Claude website and look for a download or desktop app link. Install it and sign in with the same email.
  3. Open the desktop app and start a chat. Type: 'Remember that my favourite biscuit is [your choice].' Keep it silly, it's a test.
  4. Plus 2 more steps inside

You'll know it worked when the phone app answers the biscuit question correctly, or at least sees the chat from your desktop in its list

Turn On Voice and Think Out Loud

About 5 min

Helps you: Empty a messy head onto the page while you walk, then pick up the tidy version later at a screen

  1. Open the Claude app on your phone and start a new chat.
  2. Look for the voice button near the typing box and tap it. Your phone may ask permission to use the microphone. Say yes.
  3. Before you start rambling, read the text below out loud or paste it in. It tells Claude to listen first and tidy later.
  4. Plus 2 more steps inside

You'll know it worked when you get a tidy list back that sounds like you, plus one slightly uncomfortable question

Show It a Photo

About 5 min

Helps you: Get a letter, a form, a label, or a whiteboard explained without typing any of it out

  1. Find something on paper that's been annoying you: a letter from the council, a prompt, a form, a confusing bill.
  2. Open a new chat on your phone and look for the plus, paperclip, or camera icon by the typing box. Tap it.
  3. Choose to take a photo (or pick one from your camera roll). Make sure the text is readable and not blurry.
  4. Plus 2 more steps inside

You'll know it worked when it names what the document is and pulls out the bit that actually matters, like the date or the amount
